Taxi 2000 Corporation introduces the SkyWeb Express system that could become the solution to the challenges of urban mobility in the 21st Century. This fast, safe, and flexible mode of transportation joins some of the routing functions of elevated train with the privacy of an automobile and can serve as a short-distance circulator, an area-wide feeder to light rail or buses, or as a complete city-wide system.

Each vehicle is designed to carry 3 adult passengers / carry 650 lbs. They are designed to meet ADA standards for wheelchair transportation and are powered by linear induction motors (LIM). Discussion of LIM operation is found in this Adobe Acrobat file on the skywebexpress web site.

We will meet at the Old Country Buffet at 6:00 PM for an “all-you-can-eat” buffet dinner. Section member should pay as they enter, and go through the regular buffet line, but then look for SAE private Dinning Room area. At 7:00 PM we will travel to the “Taxi 2000 Open House" that will include demonstration rides in an actual working vehicle. Following the conclusion of the open house at 8:00 PM, we will have a brief Overview Presentation followed with a short Question and Answer period. We look forward to seeing you there.
