Cummins Inc. is a worldwide manufacturer of engines for transportation and electric power generation equipment; also seeking to develop advanced energy conversions technologies. Their key focus is the development of high energy conversion efficiency and lower emissions technologies for current and future products. The presentation will cover a range of technologies that include diesel engines, gas engines, and fuel cells for a variety of on the road and stationary power generation applications. Cummins has a portfolio of advanced engineering work in each technology area that is internally and externally funded by the Department of Energy.
  • Evolving technologies to reduce in-cylinder and tail pipe emissions of diesel and spark ignited engines.
  • Implications of using alternative renewable fuels.
  • Fuel cell development programs and how they will play a role in power generation.
